The Iron Mountain Inn is a special Watauga Lake vacation experience. The Inn offers some of the best views in the area. Visitors will find far-reaching views of the East Tennessee Mountains while relaxing on any of the several decks and porches.

There are a variety of accommodations available. The lodge offers 4 large rooms. Nearby, the Creekside Chalet, described as a "modern log cabin" offers a private retreat for groups or families. You may make arrangements to bring your pet here and Woods keeps the chalet stocked with the basics including linens, robes, coffee, tea, flour, sugar, cereal and condiments.

The Cottage on the Lake offers three bedrooms and three bathrooms and accommodates up to six people sleeping in comfort. It has a gently sloping yard which leads down to Watauga Lake. You can rent a boat at a nearby marina.

A three course breakfast is included with your stay at the lodge. With notice, Woods can provide a special dinner for guests and she has many local eateries to recommend if you prefer to venture out.

East Tennessee and nearby Western North Carolina have much to offer vacationers. Boating, the Appalachian Trail and many other hiking trails, kayaking and white water rafting, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad and so much more are easily reached by visitors at the Iron Mountain Inn, Creekside Chalet and Cottage on Watauga Lake.
